The Cabarrus Pets Society is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to make our community a better place by rescuing unwanted dogs. We vaccinate, spay or neuter, restore them to health, and find them loving, deserving, permanent homes.

Our mission is to prevent unwanted pets by educating the public about responsible pet ownership to include the importance of spaying and neutering, vaccinating, and heartworm prevention.

Our organization is staffed by volunteers dedicated to our mission of rescue and educating the community through both action and example.

We are based in Kannapolis, North Carolina and serve Cabarrus and surrounding counties. We hold our "Adoption Events" each Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. We are located at 207 South Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
 
We do not have a permanent, physical shelter to house our animals.  All rescued animals are placed into foster families until they are adopted into loving, deserving, forever homes. Cabarrus Pets Society bears all expense related to the care of the animals during their time in foster care, while the foster families provide a safe, loving temporary home.
