Hot Weather and Your Pets

The warmer months are upon us and we have to start thinking about hot weather safety for our precious pets.  Click here to read an article on our health and behavior page for tips to help keep your faithful companions safe and cool during these "dog days of summer".

Welcome
Cabarrus Pet Society is a non-profit, all volunteer run, humane society serving Cabarrus County and surrounding areas in North Carolina.  Our main focus is rescuing animals in need and finding them loving homes.  Check out our adoptable pet page to see our currently available dogs and cats.  We also strive to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering to help reduce the pet overpopulation problem in this area and across the country, as well as other pet health issues relevant to pets living in our area.  Check out our pet care section for great articles about pet health and behavior.

This adorable young guy is Walker.  He and his brother Jesse had a rough start in life having been abandoned at animal control and then coming down with parvo.  He is truly lucky to be alive today.  Because of his unknown background and then his illness, he missed out on some of his early lessons in life, and is a bit shy.  Once he warms up to you, he's quite sweet and gentle. Walker is about 6 months old.  If you'd like to show Walker what life is all about, please fill out our online application.  To see other pets available, including cats, kittens, dogs and puppies, check out our adoptable pet page
