 CPS closed for Fourth of July Cabarrus Pets Society will be closed on Saturday, July 5, 2008 so that our volunteers can celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family. We will be open the following Saturday during our normal hours, 10am to 1pm. Happy Fourth everyone! Cabarrus Pet Society is a non-profit, all volunteer run, humane society serving Cabarrus County and surrounding areas in North Carolina. This adorable young guy is Walker. He and his brother Jesse had a rough start in life having been abandoned at animal control and then coming down with parvo. He is truly lucky to be alive today. Because of his unknown background and then his illness, he missed out on some of his early lessons in life, and is a bit shy. Once he warms up to you, he's quite sweet and gentle.
