Cabarrus Pets Society
|HomeAnimalsAbout UsContact Us|
There are many ways to help! We are always in need of FOSTERS and VOLUNTEERS but if you can't do that, you can always support our sponsors, spay/neuter and vaccinate your pets and spread the word about Cabarrus Pets Society and our upcoming events! Scroll down the page to learn more and help us make a difference! Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many dogs as possible, and our community makes that happen! We also LOVE to hear from our adopters with updates and pictures of our happy fur babies living their best lives! You can reach out via e-mail or find us on Facebook!
Saving and restoring the animals to health takes A LOT of money. Supplies and monetary donations are always greatly needed and appreciated. We are a non-profit group, so all donations are tax-deductible. ALL donations go straight to the care of our animals. Vaccines, vet care and food are only a few of the things we provide for our dogs. This year alone, we are have participated in saving so many animals from euthanasia, heart worm disease, malnutrition, mange, embedded collars and the list goes on. Any size donation is truly a gift to each and every animal in our rescue.

A monetary donation is one of the biggest ways you can help support Cabarrus Pets Society in our mission to help pets in need. No amount is too small to make a difference, and every penny is greatly appreciated.
Use the Paypal button above to donate online using your credit card, or mail a check to: Cabarrus Pets Society, PO Box 5042, Concord, NC 28027. Cabarrus Pets Society is a 501(c)3 organization, so all contributions are tax deductible. If you give us your name and address, we will be happy to send you a receipt for your donation for tax purposes!
Foster a dog or puppy
We don't have a physical shelter, so all of our adoptable animals stay in foster homes until they are adopted. Unfortunately, we have to turn so many animals away, simply because we do not have an available foster. Our fosters are truly the rock stars of Cabarrus Pets Society. While we ensure all the expenses and needs are provided for our animals, the fosters are the ones taking the them into their homes and providing all the time, love and care while providing assistance in re-homing them. It is also a fun, educational and rewarding experience! WE WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH FOSTERS, FOR THE NUMBER OF ANIMALS IN NEED OF HOMES TODAY. If you or someone you know has the time and space to let an animal or 2 or 5 crash on the couch, we'd love to hear from you! Check out our "Foster Page" for more information.
If you have a special talent, you think we could use, let us know and we'll be happy to help you find the best way to put your efforts to good use. If you don't have time to help, but still want to support the efforts of CPS, check out the programs on our support page.
Spread the Word
It sounds like such a small thing, but if you tell even just two people about CPS and they tell two other people and so on, word will spread like wildfire, and the more people who know about us, the more people and pets we can help! So, if you know of someone looking for a pet, tell them about us! Do you know of a business that would let you put a flier up about our available animals? Email us and we'd be happy to send you a flier you can print and hang up. Do you have a web site? Add a link to our site so more people can see our animals. If you'd like, we can provide the code for a "pet scroller" that you can put on your web page that shows all of our adopted animals. It's linked to petfinder, so it updates itself automatically when we add or remove our pets. Do you own or work at a pet-related business? We would be happy to give you some small fliers to hand out to interested clients who are looking to add to their furry family.
Spay & Neuter
Adoptions are wonderful, but they are REACTIVE. Spaying and neutering your pet is PROACTIVE! Spaying and neutering is the only way to control pet overpopulation and reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community, many of which are euthanized. If you have a pet, please have it spayed or neutered. We have information on low-cost spay/neuter clinics in Charlotte and Concord. Ask us for more information.
